Our Story
JOD . जोड़ . જોડ
Crafted by JOD began with a simple belief: that a stain, a scrap, or a piece of fabric the factories/mills discarded still has a story left to tell. Instead of letting imperfect or leftover material go to waste, we hand-paint it, patch it, and stitch it into something new. Homeware and clothing that carries texture, history, and a little bit of imperfection on purpose.
Every piece that leaves our studio is handcrafted in India, made in small batches rather than mass-produced. That’s a deliberate choice. It means slower production, but it also means each piece is genuinely one-of-a-kind. No two pieces are ever identical.
We work at the intersection of sustainability and design: repurposing fabric that would otherwise be thrown away, and turning it into pieces people actually want to live in and wear every day. This isn’t sustainability as an afterthought, it’s the entire starting
point of how we design.
Sourcing with Intent
We go looking for the fabric everyone else walks past, stained, flawed, waiting for a second chance.
Design through intervention
We sit with every mark and work with it by hand painting, embroidery & patchwork
